Notes after listening to LotR again during doc review. Aborted.
Couple things I noticed in this hearing of LotR.
The hobbits of 1420 are largely born blond, when that had been rare. I never put together why, though it was random. But the narrator mentions it immediately after talking about Sam using Galad
Sam asks if Lothlorien rope is magic, and elves don't understand and describe its qualities. Magic is craft and science.
Evil roving eye is blind until you choose to be visible.
Sauron's power after Numenor was in terror alone. Contrast Gandalf.
Orc - man inbreed.
Edain rewarded w Numenor, but the Ban of the Valar meant they were forbidden from undying lands. But also meant Valar forbidden from taking away gift of man, death! Explanation for Eden and God's actions.
