Everybody knows everyone else is stupid

"Stupid" is the new "Raca". I don't think possible to live like Jesus's teaching if enjoy and allow thinking of others as stupid or usu dumb or incompetent or wrong and less than you. But I encounter this among Xtians no less than non-Xtians, and it's really common. People build whole social constructs around everyone at work or in a family as being incompetent, and see that as funny bc it's bluntly true; it's regarded as cool to hold this idea (even though that means you want everyone to be cool and hold the opinion that most everyone else is stupid, which means you are stupid, too). Many instances of people thinking another person is stupid boil down to the other person disagreeing with them and both parties being unable to determine and/or communicate the reason for disagreement.

Interesting thought experiment. If the other person were actually retarded, the people wdn't call them stupid. Why if they're just slightly smarter than retarded, i.e., if they are literally stupid? Bc no one cares if your brain CPU doesn't have the same gigahertz. "Stupid" doesn't really refer to smart/intelligent, it just means "bad" or "annoying to me" or more accurately, "less than me", usually bc it also means "not how I think", "outside of my perspective and worldview of plausible opinions", or "beyond my imagination's ability to conceive of".

So I don't call people stupid, but now I don't think it's for the reasons above. I avoid it just bc it's so common and trendy to think you're better and smarter than all others (even though all others think that about you and all others), and I want to be different. Weird.
