Memorized this in college, while still obsessed being a T over an N, but this shows N. Truth is not established and proven, it fluctuates through time and circumstance, as seen from new perspectives. I felt this to justify new version of Xty and belief, whether did or not. Quote cd mean many things, my interpr was about the nature of truth and belief, truth as less important and belief as a choice lived.

Electronic monk. Holds multiple religions and ideas in head at once, since people get overwhelmed doing it. Prob specifies ideas are contradictory. Emblem for MBTI iNtuition, esp Ni and paradoxes and Buddhist koans.

I recall that Dirk narrowly avoids prison after coincidental circumstances conspire to make it seem he is guilty. Implies universe is dark and sinister and treacherous entity, waiting to arrange circumstances of reality in just such a way that while everything looks like it's running smoothly and fairly, your life is ruined.

Where Do You Stop?, by Eric [Someone]
Title and theme of book, explores impossibility of identifying boundaries bw any one thing and another. For instance, when two people get close to each other, their electrons overlap each others atoms, and there's so much space in atoms that boundary is meaningless. Or when teacher smells like perfume, and that perfume clings to kid's jacket, he takes that home, and takes part of teac her with him, so she ends all over. (We are all stars, type thing.) Also fantastic chapter-sketch-scene on shandy, determining perfect amount of lemonade in beer, start with full lemonade, before you know it it's all beer. Important insight for me was that lemonade is not beer!, boundaries are unnecessary to say one thing is not another, i.e., Ti-defining is a waste of time. Also important was that kid's prject lasts until adulthood, bc you never stop exploring big idea, bc they only get bigger, they never stop, so you never do either.

Generic praising Psalm.
"Though the LORD be high [exalted], he grows close to [sees] the lowly [humble]--but the haughty [proud]he knows [from] afar off."
On first read it sounds like God punishes those who choose to act badly, by staying distant from those who won't kowtow to him. On second read it's claiming that distance from God is the only possible relationship bw a high God and a person who made the choice to be "high" instead of lowly.

Shadowy presences in the dark places, force you to carry a light to explore caves. Dark incarnate. I did not play game, but come back to phrase and word a lot.

Funnier bc Avril is mother but clean freak. Also reflects motif of drug use and ingestion and previews Hal's current ingestion of pot and maybe the crazy drug (DMZ).

Hal's Dad as a kid in the 1960s, with his Dad teaching him tennis, telling him something like respect of objects, how racquet has natural pace and rhythm, and you find objects natural state and treat them gently. (Sort of the MBTI-Thinking version of the Feeling tendency to treat animals as if have souls.) Comes up in my thinking to give me reason to shut doors gently and be graceful, not merely utilitarian.

Gandalf responds when Frodo learns of Gollum's treachery and wishes Bilbo had killed him when he had the chance, bc Gollum deserved death.
"Deserved death? Many who live deserve death; and many die who deserve life. Can you give that to them? Then be not to quick to deal out death in judgment, fearing for your own safety."
Key point is that psych aspect of fear for own safety makes nearly impossible to ever kill in good conscience.
